Peptide Synthesis Core

Need a peptide synthesized?   We can synthesize peptides here at Salk for significantly less cost than contracting with an outside company.

• Two scales of synthesis are available (0.1 or 0.5 mmole)
• Peptides can be up to 44 amino acids in length (we may be able to synthesize longer peptides).
• Phosphopeptides as well as peptides acetylated or biotinylated at their N-terminus can be successfully synthesized.
• Conjugation of fluorophores should also be possible.
• Depending on their sequence and length, most peptides synthesized on this instrument are about 90% pure. (Longer peptides will be slightly less pure.)
